ABOUT THE SUPPLIERS INFORMATION MANAGEMENT AND SALES MONITORING SYSTEM (SIM-SMS)
The Suppliers Information Management and Sales Monitoring System (SIMSMS) is a comprehensive, web-based data management tool proposed by the Bureau of Market Development, Promotions, and OTOP (BMDPO) to address the limitations of the current database setup. SIM-SMS is designed to integrate and manage extensive supplier and buyer information, offering precise, real-time data and advanced analytics through a user-friendly interface. The system specifically meets stakeholders’ needs for reliable market information and addresses persistent issues related to data accuracy, timeliness, and reporting.
OBJECTIVES
To develop a robust, cloud-based application system with a user-friendly interface, automated, web-based, and mobile responsive system that efficiently captures the profile of suppliers and buyers, which includes their business information and contact details, product or service type/category, information about the payment facilities used by the MSMEs as well as their logistics providers.
Monitor the daily sales of MSME suppliers at national and regional trade fairs, business matching activities, and e-commerce platforms.
Make the suppliers’ directory accessible online to the public 24/7 via the MSME Hub, allowing them to access it at their convenience and eliminate staff intervention in providing the information through email.
To monitor the growth of MSMEs based on their asset size as well as monitor their participation in events/marketing programs organized by the bureau and the DTI Regional Offices.
Generate with ease timely information with customized/canned reports using a more advanced software capable of machine learning and artificial intelligence, and compatible with the current software being used by the DTI Data Warehousing to provide insightful analytics and data visualization to support effective decision-making current software and platform utilized by DTI.
